# Measuring to Replace Existing Decorative Glass Insert

If you know your glass size proceed by clicking on IMPACT or NON-IMPACT which will take you to the section where you may select the proper size and peruse the various choices. If you are unsure of your glass size, please follow the simple steps below.
Step 1

Measure the door height “C” shown on the diagram above.If C is approximately 80” proceed to step 2. If C is approximately 96”, go directly to step 6.

Step 2

For your 80” door, take measurements of the outside of the existing frame A and B. If A is approximately 24” then the glass you need will be 22” wide. Proceed to step 3. If measurement A is approximately 22” then proceed directly to step 4.

Step 3

Next measure the approximate value of B.
If B equals 66” then you have full glass and the insert you require will be 22” x 64”
If B equals 50” then you have 3/4 glass and the insert you require will be 22” x 48”
If B equals 38” then you have 1/2 glass and the insert you require will be 22” x 36”

Step 4

If A is approximately 22” the insert you require will be 20” wide.

Step 5

Next measure the approximate value of B.
If B equals 66” then you have full glass and the insert you require will be 20” x 64”
If B equals 50” then you have 3/4 glass and the insert you require will be 20” x 48”
If B equals 38” then you have 1/2 glass and the insert you require will be 20” x 36”

Step 6

For your 96” door, take measurements of the outside of the existing frame A and B. If A is approximately 24” then the glass you need will be 22” wide. If measurement A is approximately 22” then proceed directly to step 8.

Step 7

Next measure the approximate value of B.
If B equals 82” then you have full glass and the insert you require will be 22” x 80”
If B equals 66” then you have 3/4 glass and the insert you require will be 22” x 64”
If B equals 50” then you have 1/2 glass and the insert you require will be 22” x 48”

Step 8

Your A measurement is approximately 22”, which means that the insert you require is 20” wide.

Step 9

Next measure the approximate value of B.
If B equals 82” then you have full glass and the insert you require will be 20” x 80”
If B equals 66” then you have 3/4 glass and the insert you require will be 20” x 64”
If B equals 50” then you have 1/2 glass and the insert you require will be 20” x 48”
